(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) at St. Theresa Catholic School is fully integrated into classroom instruction and is a core component of learning, ensuring that every student has opportunities to explore, create, and problem-solve in meaningful, hands-on ways. In addition to classroom integration, STEM is also offered as a special that all students in Pre-K through eighth grade attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through inquiry-based lessons and real-world challenges, students engage in science exploration, technology tools, engineering design, and mathematical thinking. Lessons emphasize the engineering design process as students plan, build, test, and refine solutions while working collaboratively with their peers. These experiences encourage students to apply the skills learned through the&nbsp;<em>Leader in Me<\/em>&nbsp;curriculum while fostering curiosity, perseverance, and creative thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The STEM program at St. Theresa Catholic School helps students develop essential 21st-century skills, including problem solving, collaboration, communication, and decision making. By integrating STEM across all grade levels, students gain confidence in applying their knowledge to authentic situations and are prepared to think critically and adapt in an ever-changing world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students in Pre-K through eighth grade participate in a variety of engaging, hands-on projects. These may include building structures using K\u2019NEX, LEGO\u00ae, and other materials; programming Finch robots to navigate mazes; creating original games using SNAP; designing and performing drone shows set to music while constructing custom drone costumes using the RoboLink Drone Lab; dissecting owl pellets and observing live owls; designing covered wagons and using Bee-Bots to simulate travel along the Oregon Trail; and exploring erosion through hands-on investigations. These experiences, along with many other fun and exciting activities, bring STEM learning to life for students at every grade level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
