Marcy Custer

My name is Marcy Custer and this is my 10th year as the school counselor at St. Theresa Catholic. Before that I taught preschool at St. Timothy’s in West Des Moines. I have one daughter, Lily. She is a sophomore at Valley High School. I also have one dog, Daisy (Can you tell I love flowers?) who is 10. I grew up in Des Moines. I attended Hubbell Elementary, Callanan Jr. High, and Roosevelt High School, where I played softball and volleyball. I played volleyball in college at William Jewell Baptist College for a few years and then graduated from Upper Iowa University with a degree in human services. I received my Master’s in School Counseling from Liberty University in Virginia. My favorite food is ice cream. I love to read, garden, and watch my daughter play volleyball. I lived in Florida for 20 years before returning to Iowa to raise Lily. I love summer! Sunshine brings me happiness!
