Lana Duff
I teach at St. Theresa Catholic School because this is where I feel called to be. There is something special in the atmosphere of St. Theresa Catholic School. It starts with our leadership and is reflected throughout the entire school community. Living our faith is the foundation of St. Theresa Catholic School. I am grateful to be able to incorporate our Catholic faith into every aspect of our school day.
I grew up near the small northeast Iowa town of Protivin and attended Catholic grade school there. From the time I was a child I have wanted to be a second grade teacher. I received my undergrad and graduate degrees in education/special education from ISU. In 1995, I began teaching second grade at St. Theresa Catholic School–best grade ever!! I love sharing the works of Tomie dePaola with my students.
My husband Kevin and I have been members of St. Theresa Parish for over 40 years. We have 5 children, all graduates of St. Theresa Catholic and Dowling Catholic. We have 7 grandchildren, 5 of whom are either current or past students of St. Theresa Catholic School. In addition to spending much time with my grandchildren, I also love to go home to the farm, read, walk, have morning pool and prayer time at the Y, watch football, and eat! Go Bears! Go Cyclones!
Rebecca Klocke
I’m Rebecca Klocke, a graduate of Iowa State University and serve as a second-grade associate at St. Theresa. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to serve the St. Theresa community in a variety of roles, including middle school associate for two years, intermediate associate for one year, and substitute teacher for 11 years.
My husband, Steve, and I live in Granger and are proud parents of three sons, all of whom graduated from St. Theresa. Two of our sons have graduated from Dowling Catholic High School, and our youngest is currently a junior.
Outside of school, I enjoy cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones, running, walking, shopping, and spending time poolside, which is definitely my happy place. Much of my free time is spent attending my sons’ activities, which usually involve running. I am grateful to be part of the St. Theresa community and enjoy helping students learn, grow, and succeed each day.
