Megan Sassatelli 

Hello, I’m Ms. Sassatelli! This is my first year teaching art but my 4th year teaching overall. I previously taught middle school language arts at St. Patrick’s and then St. Francis of Assisi in the Des Moines Diocese. I graduated from Grand View University with a BA in secondary education 5-12 English and am currently earning an endorsement in K-12 art education. I am a 2010 St. Theresa alum and am so excited to be back teaching at the place I call home. I have previously worked in the St. Theresa childcare program from 2012-2019 and again recently this past year. 

As the art teacher my goal is to teach students about the value of art in the world. My class will not just be a place to make pretty things, but will also be a place to learn about culture and community through an artistic lens. I am excited to bring my passion for art to this community and help foster a love for art in each child.
