MBC – Maroon Basketball Club

In year 2 of having k-2 basketball as a part of the MBC program, we are excited to have your daughter return and/or join. Here’s some basic info.

• We will have teams in the YMCA league or something similar
• The season will start in October and wrap up in February
• Games will be on Saturday or Sunday and practices will be determined as we get closer to the season, we attempt to work around players schedules with Coaches being priority.
• Speaking of, parent volunteer coaches- if you’re interested, there is a place to let us know. Our goal is 2 coaches for every team.
• Teams will be split up randomly (we do allow for teammate requests and attempt to honor). We try to keep schoolmates together
• Cost is $275. This includes the league, practices, jersey, and a fun MBC swag bag complete with headbands, tshirt, and waterbottle stickers. These are pass through costs.
• We are a girls basketball program that represents all of the parochial schools in the Des Moines metro.
• We are in year 3- but only our 2nd year of k-2. We have approximately 140 girls already rostered for 3rd grade and above.
