What service did you do?

• I prayed the rosary, read scriptures and talked to God daily.

How do you think the person you served felt before your help and why?

• She needed help because she has Parkinson’s disease, which makes working with her hands for long periods of time difficult.

How do you think the person you served felt after your help and why? 

• Relieved she had help and less tired from her hands and her feet and legs being stiff.
• I think the cats were grateful to have something to do in the ARL and they probably got tired from tiring themselves out.

Name something specific about the experience that you enjoyed and why.

• One thing I enjoyed about this was its simplicity. I think we made about 300 cat toys in those two hours….The toys give the cats a feeling of a home, it makes them happy, it makes them “unbored” during this time.
• Seeing my grandma smile when it was over made me happy. 
• I enjoyed spending time with my aunt and learning new skills with sewing and dog training.
• Yes, I like knowing that someone is goin to like the things I once liked. [on donating outgrown clothing]

Would you like to do this service again & why?

• Yes I would because it’s nice to pray for others especially those in need.
• I would do it in a heartbeat because I like working out and especially doing it with my family.
• Yes cause I like helping others and growing closer to God (served Stations of the Cross)
• Yes because I love helping my grandma.
• Yes, my aunt is very special to me.  She is like a grandma to me since both my grandmothers are  dead and I feel calm and safe when I am with her and her dog, Sully.

How was this service a blessing for you?

• “I felt good serving God [as an altar server] and I felt better as a person.”
• It was a blessing because they are little blessings themselves and they are so sweet to be around.[on babysitting her niece and nephew]
• I got to spend more time with my sister.
• I go to help my aunt out and spend time with her.  I like working with older people.
• I got to do it [landscaping] with my family, and even though I may not show it all the time, I love working and doing things with my family.
