As great as Novos is, it really focuses primarily on the Des Moines metro community: I will be traveling the Diocese this fall and winter to host discussions on similar multi-parish young adult initiatives throughout outside the Des Moines area. After nearly a year of encouraging our young adults to TAKE24 (24 minutes of prayer a day, and 24 hours on retreat every few months), we’re ready for our final retreat of 2018: Advent! Registration is live, head to www.dmdiocese.org/take24 for more information and registration.
Catholic Runners started earlier this summer, and has been a tremendous community for folks who want to get together for their Saturday morning run. We’ll keep running until the weather says we can’t (and maybe even through it), every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month: for the time being, we’ll keep running at the Raccoon River Park loop in West Des Moines at 8am on those days. All ages and paces are welcome to join us!
